Direct Cheap Flights to Limoges and Limousin FranceThe advent of cheap flights to Limoges, the capital of Limousin in France, has made access to the region very much easier. Direct Cheap Flights to LimogesFlying into Limoges gives you easy access to all the departments of Limousin. Gueret, the capital of the Creuse department, is just 60 miles and about an hours drive from Limoges. Tulle, the capital of Correze, is the same distance although the driving time is about an hour and twenty minutes.

Direct Cheap Flights to Limousin FranceLimousin covers a very large area and apart from the cheap flights to Limoges, you could consider flying into one of the other nearby airports. If the UK airports mentioned above, or the flight times, are not convenient for you, there are cheap flights to other airports in France that are located just outside Limousin.In order to select the most suitable alternative to the flights to Limoges you can use one of the many route planners that are available on the internet. We have found ViaMichelin to be very good as it includes clear directions, toll points and costs, petrol costs and speed camera locations.

- Flights to Bergerac -With many more departure points in the UK, Bergerac is a viable alternative if you are travelling to southern Haute Vienne or Correze. You can drive to both Limoges and Tulle in about two and a half hours. Southern Creuse is a bit further but Bergerac may still be an option for you if one of the airports mentioned below is close to you in the UK.

- Flights to Bordeaux -Going a bit further afield but worth including here as an alternative to the flights to Limoges are flights to Bordeaux. Correze and the southern and western areas of Haute Vienne are two to three hours drive away. Like Bergerac, however, you have a wider choice of departure points in the UK. - Flights to Brive la Guillarde -There seem to be more airlines offering direct cheap flights to Limoges and Limousin every year. A new international airport is currently being built at Brive-la-Guillarde, Correze, and is due to open in June 2010. Discussions are underway with the low-cost carriers from the UK but final details have yet to emerge. For now there is a good choice of UK departure points for the direct flights to Limoges and the other airports mentioned above. We will be providing further information about the new airport as it becomes available.
